At The Vinyl Countdown, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains your rights and our procedures for returning products purchased through our website.
1. Your Right to Cancel
Under UK consumer law, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods without giving a reason.

Once you have informed us of your decision to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the item(s) to us.
2. Conditions for Returns
To be eligible for a return, items must:

Include all original packaging, inserts, stickers, download cards, and promotional materials where applicable.

Not show signs of unnecessary handling beyond what is required to inspect the item.
We reserve the right to reduce any refund where the value of the item has been diminished through excessive handling.
3. Vinyl Records and Opened Products
We understand that customers may need to inspect vinyl records upon receipt.
However, returns for unwanted items may not be accepted if:

The shrink wrap or factory seal has been removed.

The record has been played.

The item has been damaged after delivery.
This does not affect your statutory rights regarding faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied products.
4. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive a record that is:

Damaged in transit.

Faulty or defective.
-
Incorrectly supplied.
Please contact us within 14 days of delivery and provide:

Your order number.
-
A description of the issue.

Photographs of any damage where applicable.
Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer one of the following:

A replacement item (subject to availability).
-
A full refund.
-
A partial refund where appropriate.
We may request the item be returned before a refund or replacement is issued.
5. Manufacturing Defects
Vinyl records are physical products and minor cosmetic imperfections may occasionally occur during manufacturing.
Examples of issues that may qualify as defects include:

Severe warping affecting playback.

Significant pressing faults causing skips or repeated playback issues.

Incorrect records supplied within sealed packaging.
Issues resulting from equipment setup, worn stylus cartridges, or improper storage are not considered manufacturing defects.
6. Return Shipping Costs
Unwanted Items
Customers are responsible for return postage costs when returning unwanted items under their right to cancel.
We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot be responsible for returns lost in transit.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
​Faulty or Incorrect Items If the return is due to our error or a confirmed fault, we will reimburse reasonable return postage costs or provide a prepaid return label where available.
7. Refund Processing
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days of:

Receiving proof that the goods have been returned.
Original delivery charges will be refunded for cancelled orders as required by applicable consumer law.
Any upgraded delivery services selected at checkout may not be refundable.
8. Non-Returnable Items

Digital downloads including physical products where an MP3 download is included and the download has been utilised.
