Race Knower - Tumbling Down
Race Knower - Tumbling Down
An exceptionally rare opportunity to own an original 1984 pressing of Race Knower's long-lost masterpiece, Tumbling Down.
Recorded in London during 1983 by Sri Lankan-born musician Race Knower, Tumbling Down is a deeply personal blend of DIY soul, blues, funk and AOR, released privately on the Funkstick Music label (catalogue number FS0001). Originally issued in very small numbers, the album disappeared into obscurity for decades before being rediscovered through extensive research, culminating in its acclaimed 2025 remaster and renewed appreciation among collectors
These copies come from a remarkable source. They were obtained directly from Nona Knower following support for the Race Knower archive and restoration project, providing an exceptional provenance rarely found with private-press releases.
Each copy features the original handwritten SRT matrix inscriptions: SRT4KL308
All copies originate from the same original pressing and have matching handwritten runout matrices.
